Marina Rosenfeld, Éliane Radigue & ONCEIM

Kein anderes Instrument wird enger mit der Geschichte der Polyphonie verbunden als die Orgel. Beim Festivaldebüt des Improvisationsensembles ONCEIM erklingt sie erstmals seit 2018 wieder bei den Musiktagen, diesmal kombiniert mit Blasinstrumenten. Schon lange beschäftigt sich Marina Rosenfeld in Kompositionen für besonders resonante Räume mit dem psychoakustischen Nachhall von Klängen und dem Übergang vom Klang zur Stille. Ihre Partitur aus Handlungsanweisungen lässt den Pariser Musiker:innen großen Raum, ihr eigenes Hörverständnis und ihre Erfahrung als Improvisator:innen einzubringen. Mit der Uraufführung von OCCAM XXV zeta würdigt das Festival zudem die jüngst verstorbene Komponistin Éliane Radigue, der sowohl die Musiktage wie auch ONCEIM eng verbunden sind.

No instrument is more closely associated with the history of polyphony than the organ. At the festival debut of the Parisian improvisation ensemble ONCEIM, the organ will be heard again at the Musiktage for the first time since 2018, this time joined with brass instruments. Marina Rosenfeld has long explored the psychoacoustic reverberation of sounds, as well as the transition from sound to silence, in her compositions for highly resonant spaces. Her score gives the musicians plenty of scope to contribute their own aural understanding and embodied experience as improvisers. With the world premiere of OCCAM XXV zeta, the festival pays tribute to the late Éliane Radigue, with whom ONCEIM and the Musiktage have had close ties.
